A wide range of periodicals, books, catalogues, microfilms and other resources are critical resources when it comes to music history research and Musiclibrary.fi maintains a broad off-line library which is expanding all of the time.
Cooperation with other libraries worldwide provides additional access to those hard-to-find works and, of course, "new" works of "old" material are still being found and acquired as required.
The majority of holdings in the Musiclibrary.fi book and periodical library are focussed on music history, broadcasting, audio engineering, musical works and related subjects but a range of more general resources are also kept to provide additional depth and research opportunities as required.
Copyright restrictions often mean that Musiclibrary.fi is unable to provide copies of items within its collection although each request is examined on a case-by-case basis.
Presently there is no publicly-accessible catalogue of Musiclibrary.fi's book and periodical collection although a partial catalogue will soon be provided which will be regularly updated.
